Recent Changes in MENSA
Started at the beginning of 2007, Mensa group has undertaken several fundamental changes. These changes were facilitated by a very competent management consultant namely Star Performa through deployment of one big project called STARLIGHT project, officially launched on 19th February 2007. This project is centered on the Management system of the company with three main focuses, namely Business process improvement (supply chain), creating Objective performance measurement tools (balance score card), and IT system as enabler of business process (oracle).
Supply chain management System
Looking at the nature of business in Mensa Group, having an extraordinary supply chain process will progressively bring Mensa Group to a higher level, going from good to a great group of healthcare company. Centered on the improvement of supply chain management process, we re-engineered our business process by implementing Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system. With the help of Oracle on ERP system, it allows the integration of all functional departments involved in operation and production into one system.
Balance Scorecard
As part of Starlight project, Mensa is currently undergoing the process of implementing Balance scorecard system as a tool for strategy execution and clear straight performance measurement of the new management system. Big challenge in improving the overall performance of business is to get every employees working in the same direction, thus balance scorecard allows strategy deployment and provides methodology that turns the eyes of employees to a single direction.
Execution of strategy will then be measured using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as measurement tools to quantify objectives to reflect strategic performance of the business, as illustrated on the dashboard above. We expect that all escalation of strategy within Mensa Group can be aimed and measured objectively.
IT system
Mensa group believe that supply chain requires a good support from technology. With full adherence to align IT system with business Strategy, Mensa Group build the competencies using ORACLE as ERP Vendor for the improvement of business process.
Human Capital
As group of companies with 3500 employees, Mensa group firmly believe on human capital development as the most important aspect of the business.
By strengthening the focus on all parts of human resources with major improvement on both function and roles of Human Resources, Mensa group sees Human Resources is not just as a personal and administration operator, but mainly as a strategic partner to Line Managers and Top Management, as well as a change agent and in developing employee champion.

These tremendous changes presently taking place within Mensa group will not be completed in one or two months, rather it is more like a journey which requires time and commitment .
