Formerly known as P.T. MASA BHAKTI SURYA, the company was established on 13th August 1973. Its earlier activities included trading in Pharmaceuticals. Distribution of Pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products.

In the early years it has only four branches in Java . On the 3rd July 1985 P.T. MBS was acquired by Mensa Group and became part of the group.

At that point the company started to develop itself from trading pharmaceutical products to healthcare related products. These products include Pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and equipments, diagnostics and consumer healthcare.

On January 27, 1993 the company changed its name to P.T MENSA BINASUKSES (MBS).
